Miss 501: A Portrait of Luck at TIFF Cinematheque | June 21
Screening in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day, Miss 501: A Portrait of Luck will be introduced by TIFF Cinematheque programmer Jacob Crepeault with a recorded introduction by film curator and programmer Kathleen Mullen.
Monika Treut: Transcending Gender at TIFF Cinematheque
This July, TIFF Cinematheque continues its Pride celebration with Monika Treut: Transcending Gender, a rare spotlight on the German-born, lesbian filmmaker, curated by TIFF Cinematheque programmer Jacob Crepeault. Treut explores queer and trans identities through the ambiguities and fluid margins that exist between restrictive binaries, turning the camera to subjects whose interior lives had rarely been documented at the time. This series presents new 2K restorations from the Hamburg Kinemathek released by Muscle Distribution.
Desire in Motion x Sleaze Factory present the 30th anniversary screening of Bruce LaBruce’s Hustler White at The Paradise
Sleaze Factory and Desire in Motion are teaming up for a sizzlingly sexy 30th anniversary screening of Bruce LaBruce’s HUSTLER WHITE preceded by Kalil Haddad’s THE TAKING OF JORDAN (ALL AMERICAN BOY).
This screening will include a post-screening discussion with filmmakers Bruce LaBruce and Kalil Haddad moderated by Weird Alice and a pre-show performance by drag king Randy Roy.

About
Jacob Crepeault is a Toronto-based film programmer & arts curator.
He graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies in 2018 and completed a practicum with the Canadian Film Institute.
In 2019, Jacob graduated from Centennial College in Toronto with a postgraduate degree in Museum & Cultural Management. During his studies, he worked at Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival as a Programming Intern.
Since 2019, Jacob has programmed films at several Canadian film organizations, including TIFF Cinematheque, Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival, Pleasure Dome, and Victoria Film Festival.
In 2024, Jacob launched GLEANING, an independent film zine that features an assortment of film essays, personal reflections, and recommendations for films both classic and new.
In 2025, Jacob started a screening series called Desire in Motion at the Paradise Theatre in Toronto about love, intimacy, and relationships through a distinctly Canadian perspective.
